Pavilion and Teaching School Room Planning Application

Pavilion and Teaching School Room Planning Application

You may have seen that we have recently submitted a planning application for two new buildings on school site.

The first is a wooden Pavilion that is being paid for by fundraising by the PSA - so a massive thank you to everyone who has contributed to this! The Pavilion has been installed this week and is ready for our Summer Fair. It will provide some much needed additional space in school for groups, classes and year groups - particularly for the arts such as drama, music and art which are very important to us at St Peter's. We will also be able to use it for lunch club and extra curricular clubs - as well as PSA events.

The second building is to provide a dedicated space for our Teaching School activities. At the moment we are using our spare classroom for this but this will no longer be available from 2019. The plans show that our new building will be sited where we previously had a temporary building - although this is about half the size - opposite the Harbour Building library. It will be placed in next to the boundary fence and going back into the wooded ditch area so as not to impact on the playground space available to children. The building is due to take place during the summer holiday and should be complete when the children return in September.
