Year 2 is an exciting year where we get to explore a wealth of books by famous authors, learn more about our local and wider environment and study the lives of significant individuals from the past, such as Florence Nightingale and, local engineering hero, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. The children have the opportunity to travel back in time on a trip to the SS Great Britain where they learn more about what it's like to be an engineer! As the children near the end of Key Stage 1, we embark on a unique legacy learning project which encompasses our value of kindness and responsibility and our vision of 'Excellence in our service with others'.
