Award Winning Nature Films

Congratulations to our Year 6 film makers – Highly Commended and Overall Winners

Last term all current Year 6 children were involved in the Wild Schools Film Challenge.  This project was set up by Avon Wildlife Trust in co-operation with Rolls-Royce plc.  The aim of the project was to provide an opportunity for primary school pupils to interact with wildlife in and around their school and get outdoors.    All children were given the opportunity to use the cameras and other equipment to produce short wildlife films.

Over 1000 children took part from over 30 schools and we are delighted to share that, this afternoon, our children won two awards - Highly Commended and Overall Winner! We had a fantastic afternoon with the children and their families along with the Avon Widlife Trust, Rolls Royce and the BBC Natural History Department.

Our winning films are entitled “The Wildfactor” by Millie, Eva, Scott and Ollie and “Nature is Everywhere” by Imogen, Charlotte, Sophie and Abigail.

Huge congratulations to everyone who took part and particularly to our two winning teams.  Well done!
