Majors’ Carols – Excellence in Our Service with Others
The Major’s singers brought the true spirit of Christmas cheer to many of the elderly in our community as they visited Petersfield Residential Home on Wednesday afternoon. One of the residents was a pupil at St Peter’s himself, 80 years ago! Another resident spent a happy half hour dancing and singing along to Christmas songs, old and new. The choir then performed an hour long programme of Christmas songs at Clarence House for the Over 60s Club at their annual Christmas event. On behalf of the club, Betty presented us with £100 to spend on music provision at school and this was received with great thanks. We are looking forward to hearing the Majors sing again in our ‘Carols for the Community’ event next Thursday when guests from local residential homes will be joining us for singing, mince pies and mulled wine.
