We are delighted to be launching an exciting new partnership with Shine, helping us provide a wider range of opportunities for children alongside a more flexible and user-friendly booking system for families.

School Enrichment Clubs

Our popular School Enrichment Clubs will continue to be led by St Peter's staff, alongside our long-standing partnership with Portishead Chess Club.

These clubs will run in 10-week termly blocks and include many of the activities that children already know and enjoy, together with some exciting new opportunities.

• Cost: £50 per 10-week block
• Sessions finish at 4.30pm
• Minors Choir costs £25 per block and finishes at 4.00pm

The small increase in cost reflects the administration and booking fees associated with the new online booking platform. We believe the improved booking experience and increased flexibility will provide significant benefits for families.

Shine Clubs and Wraparound Care

Alongside our school-led clubs, Shine will offer a varied programme of sports, creative and activity clubs throughout the school year.

Families can choose to:

• Book individual sessions
• Book a series of sessions
• Secure places for a longer period if preferred

Shine will also provide our new wraparound care offer:

Breakfast Club

7.35am - 8.50am

After-School Activity Clubs

Until 4.30pm

Snack & Chill

Our late wraparound provision running from 4.30pm - 5.55pm

One of the key benefits of the Shine provision is its flexibility. Children can try a club before committing to a longer booking, while families who require regular childcare can secure ongoing places. Shine also offers a six-day cancellation policy for its clubs and wraparound provision.

Please note that this flexibility applies to Shine-run clubs only. St Peter's School Enrichment Clubs will continue to operate as fixed 10-week blocks.

Parents and carers will need to create an account on MyShine.co.uk, select St Peter's Church of England Primary School, and then choose the activities they wish to book.

We have been reassured that Shine can increase capacity for Breakfast Club, My Time and Snack & Chill sessions where required, helping to ensure sufficient places are available for families.
