Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you make. It is important to make time to look at a number of schools and decide which one will really suit your child.
Please take a good look around our website and click on the link below which will give you further information about our school.
Your child’s first days at St Peter's
From the moment you know that your child has a place at St Peter’s we want to work with you to make sure that your child has a very successful start to their formal education. Our Reception classes and 'Discovery' (outdoor learning space) provide highly stimulating, spacious environments with a wealth of varied indoor, and outdoor, learning experiences.
Teachers in the early years demonstrate a precise understanding of the needs of the children. Thorough assessments ensure that children’s starting points in Reception are secure and used effectively to plan their learning. Consequently, children make substantial progress in reading and mathematics and are exceptionally well prepared for their move into Year 1 (OFSTED 2019)
Once your child has a place we offer a number of extra activities including information sessions for parents, and class visits for children. Early in the academic year we also offer appointments to all parents so that you have a chance to let us know all about your child, their learning and any particular needs they may have.
For 2022-23 & 2023-24 admissions, please see the documents attached below.
Our admissions arrangements comply with the Department For Education's School Admissions Code and School Admissions appeal Code.
