Co-opted Governor & Chair of Governors

I am currently a finance manager for a telecommunications company and I believe my commercial experience in finance, business planning and analysis will be of great benefit to the school. I also hold a degree in applied economics. 

I see the current ethos, vision, plans and values as critical elements to the continued success of St Peters. As a parent, I am keen to ensure these continue as they can only have a positive impact on the children’s futures.

Outside of work I am married to Claire and we have two children.

Foundation Governor

John is a former Head Teacher of an outstanding Church of England Junior school.  He attends St Peter’s church and is appointed by the church and diocese as a governor at St Peter’s school.

Abigail Wilford

Abbie is a member of the support staff at St Peter’s in the reception classes.  Abbie also has children at St Peter’s.

Victoria Green

I am currently the South West Regional Head of a large legal practice.   I qualified as a Solicitor in 2002 and was a partner in a large high street practice before specialising in criminal law.  I have a strong track record of delivering performance improvements and motivating large teams. I have undertaken significant change projects during challenging times.  I have experience in dealing with finance, HR and legal matters and am known for my good judgement and sound decision making.  I hope to bring the skills from the legal world into my role as a Governor and work with others to make the school the best it can be.

I support the Resources Committee.

Rebecca Collis

I have 20 years of experience working in education, across schools in Hampshire, London and the South-west, on the leadership team at four. During that time, I have set up a high-performing 6th form and led curriculum, pastoral and inclusion teams. I am passionate about securing strong outcomes for all students, regardless of their barriers to learning, and champion the benefits of enrichment, work experience and cultural capital opportunities. I have two sons at the school now and am enjoying learning more about pre-secondary education whilst contributing to St Peter’s committed school improvement in our quest for Outstanding.

Rob Eastwood Dewing

Foundation Governor

Rob has been Team Rector of Portishead since 2016, during which time he has been a regular visitor to St Peter's school, leading worship and participating in RE lessons amongst other activities.

One of Rob’s daughters was at St Peter's until July 2020 and the other was an LSA until July 2021.

Before being ordained, Rob taught History and was head of department in a High School in Staffordshire.

Over the last 20 years, Rob has been a governor in voluntary aided, voluntary controlled and community schools.

I am a life insurance Actuary and have been working in the Finance sector for 15 years. My areas of expertise are analytics and numeracy, which I feel I am able to put to good use when reviewing the school’s academic performance and financial position.

My daughter is a pupil at St Peter’s.  I am passionate about St. Peter’s and want to do anything I can to ensure the school continues to thrive.
