Safeguarding

The safety of our pupils is of the upmost importance.

Our designated safeguarding members of staff are:

Janine Ashman, Sharon Roberts and  Jodie Britten

All our staff and volunteers working within school have a responsibility to ensure the safety of all our pupils and, in order for them to do this they all receive safeguarding training (Level 1 training is compulsory for all staff working within school and recommended for regular volunteers in school). They work within the guildelines set out in ‘Safer Working Practices’ and ‘ Keeping Children Safe in Schools’ . All staff and volunteers are issued these documents to familiarise themselves with their content.

St Peter’s recognises that any child can be subject to abuse or neglect and that all allegations of abuse or evidence of neglect will be taken seriously and investigated in accordance with our Safeguarding Policy.

If anyone has any concerns about the safety of a child at St Peter’s we ask that they share these with one of our designated teachers or another member of staff. If they do not feel able to share these concerns with school staff they should contact our safeguarding Governor – Jim Christopherson, our Chair of Governors – Rachel Mackintosh or the North Somerset LADO (01275 888888).
